Description
late 80s / early 90s Plus Fours used a 2 litre Rover engine from an early Rover 800. These are “M16” engines – not to be confused with the later “T16” that Morgan started fitting around late 91/early 92.
M16 Cambelts are no longer manufactured ( T16 Belts DO NOT fit) and have become obsolete. Since we learned of this early in 2025 we have been actively searching a solution or an alternative as well old stock items.
Finally in late 2026 we have managed to track down a small batch of boxed, new-old-stock Unipart belts for the M16 engine from overseas.
They are genuine unipart and boxed and are as new obviously, but please note they are old stock – we suspect maybe from the late 90s. On balance we consider this a better option than a worn out or contaminated belt and with nothing else available don’t see a better option.
Stock is very limited and we don’t think we’ll be able to find any more in the future. Price reflects the high price we had to pay to secure them.
