We are delighted to be able to announce the date of our 2027 Track Day at Goodwood, Thursday 20th May 2027. As always, due to the high level of demand each year, we recommend you register for your place and make payment as soon as possible.
The format this year will be 4 “normal sessions” of 10 4 wheeled cars (traditional and Plus line) and 1 session of 3 wheelers (including Super 3) – this should give every car 2 full sessions before lunch. If on schedule, we will start an open pit lane after lunch. Regrettably, Goodwood have increased the cost of their track hire, so we have had to increase the cost of the day slightly to £495 per 4-wheeled Morgan and, due to their reduced track time, £350 per 3-wheeled Morgan.
Pre-registration for drivers and passengers is necessary by following a link which will be provided closer to the event. On the day you will need to be at Goodwood Circuit by 7.45-8am to complete the Sign On process, noise testing and compulsory briefing. You will not be allowed on track unless you have attended the marshal’s briefing. Sessions commence at 9am until lunch (usually between 12-2pm and to be decided on the day) and then close at 5pm. To confirm your place, please complete and return the attached form. This will advise us of the number in your party, the Morgan you will be driving and whether you would like instruction for yourself or for another driver (instruction not available for 3 wheeled Morgans). The cost of instruction for 4 wheeled cars is included in the day.
The day is a 98db one so be aware that if your Morgan makes too much noise you may be prevented from taking part. Noise testing takes place early with priority given to the cars in the first session. Secondly, you will need to arrange your own insurance for the day – some policies include track days but do make sure prior to the event.
If you know anyone who would like to come along to watch and to soak up the atmosphere please let them know they are all welcome – no charge except lunch – we hope the Aerodrome café, the Horsebox, the Control Tower and the snack wagon will be open and if you prefer less formality there is plenty of space for picnics – weather permitting!
Goodwood is the only classic racetrack in the world to remain in its original form. We are privileged that they allow us to run exclusive Morgan parade laps each year as part of our day without helmets, without a briefing, without an extra charge, and without signing a disclaimer. In return, and to ensure that everyone has a safe and memorable experience, they do ask that seatbelts are worn and that everyone stays behind the course car. They do have a few ‘do nots’ for us to follow: do not overtake other vehicles, do not use a mobile phone, do not slow down and accelerate back to join the convoy, and do not weave or drive erratically. It sounds like a fair exchange!
If you would like to contribute to help towards fuel costs on the day (which are considerable), there will be a donation box by the pit lane where we hold the hot laps. All donations will be very gratefully received.
Track day entries are non-refundable unless we can successfully fill your place with an alternative driver/car.
